The day started with promise as a 3-4 pounder bit on the very first cast, setting an optimistic tone. However, an hour of quiet fishing followed, causing some concern for the guide. We caught only one fish at each stop, and the phrase "well, that's fishing" echoed. Around 11 o'clock, the day took a turn for the better with an 11-pounder putting on a spectacular show, grabbing a 10-inch shiner mid-air. Wrapping up the day, we had a total of 9 additional catches, including the joyous moment of a young lady's first fish. The water temperature stands at 63.5 degrees, and floating vegetation poses some challenges, contingent on the wind direction. Looking ahead, the fishing outlook is optimistic, improving steadily through winter for the best chance at landing double-digit catches.
